A peaceful day was turned into one of the horrifying violence in Sri Lanka. We the people of the Asian Conference of Religions for Peace condemn this indiscriminative attack against peaceful worshippers and citizens.

We show our solidarity with the victims and the people of Sri Lanka amid their sorrowful time.

Our sympathies are with the families of the deceased and the wounded. We people of faiths and religions should address issues concerning the safety of all worship and prayer places.

The violent attack against peaceful worshippers and citizens is an abuse of universal human rights, and we all religious people must stand together to end this horrifying flow of phenomenon.

We ACRP members genuinely share the message of our divine being that love and mercy for all peoples, based on the respect of equal dignity of all people, could only end the endless chain of hatred and violence.

Let us unite together in our prayer and action for the restoration of peace in Sri Lanka.
